Amazon has successfully deployed 396 satellites in low-Earth orbit, enabling it to provide continuous service for its Starlink competitor, Amazon Leo. Chris Weber, VP of business and product for Amazon Leo, confirmed that this number is adequate to support initial latitudes for service. The company aims for commercial availability by mid-2026. However, unlike SpaceX, which began its service in 2020 with nearly 900 satellites, Amazon does not anticipate immediate widespread access on launch day.
