Loryn Brantz, the creator of the 'Good Advice Cupcake' character, has expressed outrage over BuzzFeed's decision to license her creation to Amazon's Prime Video for an AI-animated series titled 'Cupcake & Friends.' Brantz criticized the move as a betrayal and an assault on artists, highlighting her frustrations with BuzzFeed's management. The new show is part of a project funded by the GenAI Creators’ Fund, which aims to utilize AI technologies in animation. Brantz, who originally developed Cuppy for a children’s book, voiced her concerns on social media and called for a boycott of BuzzFeed and AI-produced content.
